What is Linux? Linux (pronounced "Lie-Nucks","LINN-ux", and many other ways) is a free clone of Un*x Operating System that was originally created by Linus Torvalds and contributor over the internet. Linux is developed under GNU General Public Licence , and the source code is available freely to everyone. Linux supports both 32 and 64 bit architecutres and provides a stable multiuser internet ready operating system and is used by more than 8 million people worldwide and used by more than 10% of web servers on the internet.
